Shipping & Returns

For shipping within Australia, we use Australia Post.

Once your parcel has been dispatched a unique tracking number will be sent to your nominated email address. You will be able to track your parcel by clicking on the link sent to your email once the order has been dispatched. Tracking numbers can take up to 24 hours to register with Australia Post.

Delivery within Australia via Express Post to metropolitan areas will usually arrive within 48 hours of dispatch. For regional areas, delivery is between 3 to 7 days.

For standard international shipping, we use Australia Post and last mile delivery will be carried out by your local domestic mail carrier. Delivery time can be from 7-20 days for international standard shipments. 

For express international shipping, we use DHL Express and delivery time is from 3-7 business days. 

Please note - Local government taxes and duties incurred as a result of international shipments are payable by the receiver. Please check your local import regulations carefully before placing an order. Romance Was Born is not responsible for any locally applied import taxes and duties. 

STANDARD SHIPPING CHARGES

Domestic Shipping (Australia Wide)

• Free standard shipping on orders over AUD$350.00.
• Orders below AUD$350.00 shipping is AUD$10 per order.
• Express Shipping rate of AUD $15 per order. 

International Shipping

• Flat rate of AUD$30.00 per order for standard
• Flat rate of AUD $100 per order for express shipping with DHL. 

SHIPPING TIME

Australian Orders placed by Midday EST. Monday - Thursday are shipped same day if items are in stock and received by 12pm.
International orders are sent (Monday - Thursday) are shipped the same day if items are in stock and received by 12pm. 

Shipping times may be extended during busy periods such as seasonal sales, stocktake sales and the Christmas and holiday period. 

Romance Was Born will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through any delay in delivery. Orders are subject to availability and will contact you directly if there are any issues via the nominated email address on your order.

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

RETURNS POLICY

Romance Was Born loves you, and will provide you with a refund or exchange for full priced items for a change of mind only where:
    •    the goods are in saleable condition, with all tags still intact;
    •    the goods have not been worn, damaged or washed;
    •    the goods are returned within 10 working days of delivery date; and
    •    the original packing slip as proof of purchase is provided.

Alternatively we will provide you with a refund for items that:

• are faulty (unless caused by you);
• have been wrongly described
• are different to the goods that you ordered;

All returns must be returned to Romance Was Born within 10 days of delivery to be eligible for a refund. 

Our preferred method of returns is the self-serve return option available on our website. Please login using the icon at the top right corner of the website using the email address associated with your order to initiate a return on eligible items. For exchanges or complex returns, please email us directly at customercare@romancewasborn.com 

Returns after this period will not be accepted.

If a refund is approved, the refund will be applied to the original method of payment / card of purchase. 

We do not refund original shipping charges for change of mind refunds. 

Please note sale items are final sale and cannot be returned for a refund or exchange unless deemed faulty, wrongly described, or different to the goods ordered.  We may, at our discretion, offer an exchange for sale items for an alternative size if available. In the case that no other size is available, we may offer you a store credit note at our discretion. 

EXCHANGE POLICY

Items can only be exchanged for a different size or colour in the same style. All exchanges are subject to availability. Please note sale items are final sale and cannot be returned for a refund or exchange (unless to exchange to an available size in the same item, if available).

RETURN SHIPPING

Return shipping must be prepaid and traceable method to ensure safe and documented delivery.

Romance Was Born takes no responsibility for missing incoming deliveries.

Return shipping charges are not refundable and to be paid by the customer for change of mind returns. 

Romance Was Born will reimburse any reasonable document shipping charges for return of goods that have been deemed faulty, not as described or different to the goods purchased.
