Dispatch Times

Australian and international orders placed before 12pm AEST, Monday–Thursday, will generally be dispatched the same day, provided items are in stock.

Please note that dispatch and delivery times may be extended during busy periods including seasonal sales, stocktake sales, and holiday periods.

Romance Was Born is not liable for delays in delivery once orders have been dispatched. All orders are subject to availability, and we will contact you via the email address provided if there are any issues with your order.

Free standard shipping on orders over AUD $350
AUD $10 standard shipping for orders under AUD $350
AUD $15 express shipping

For all Australian orders, we ship via Australia Post. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a unique tracking number. Please allow up to 24 hours for tracking information to update with Australia Post.

Standard Parcel Post 
Deliveries to metropolitan areas generally arrive within 2–4 business days from dispatch. Deliveries to regional areas may take 4–7 business days.
Deliveries to far north Queensland, WA country and NT may take 7–14 business days.

International Shipping

AUD $100 flat rate for DHL Express international shipping

Express International orders are shipped via DHL Express, with estimated delivery times of 3–7 business days.

Please note that any local import duties, taxes, or customs charges incurred on international orders are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend checking your country’s import regulations prior to placing an order. Romance Was Born is not responsible for any locally applied taxes or duties.

Returns & Exchanges

Returns Policy

We are happy to offer a refund or exchange on full-priced items for change of mind, provided that:

• Items are returned in original saleable condition with all tags attached
• Items have not been worn, washed, or damaged
• Items are returned within 10 days of delivery
• Proof of purchase is provided

We will also provide a refund where items are:

• Faulty (unless caused by misuse)
• Incorrectly described
• Different from the item ordered

Returns received outside the 10-day return period will not be accepted.

Sale Items

Sale items are final sale and cannot be returned for a refund or exchange unless deemed faulty, incorrectly described, or different from the item ordered.

At our discretion, we may offer an exchange for an alternative size if available. If no replacement size is available, a store credit may be offered.

Exchanges

Items may only be exchanged for a different size or colour in the same style and are subject to availability.

Sale items cannot be exchanged unless exchanging for another size in the same style, subject to availability.

How to Return an Item

Our preferred method for returns is through the self-serve returns portal available on our website.

Please log in via the account icon at the top right corner of the website using the email address associated with your order to initiate an eligible return.

Please note:
Online orders must be returned online and cannot be returned in-store
In-store purchases must be returned to the retail store where purchased
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method used at checkout.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable for change-of-mind returns.

We recommend using a prepaid and traceable shipping method, as Romance Was Born is not responsible for missing or lost return deliveries.

If an item is deemed faulty, incorrectly described, or different from the item ordered, we will reimburse reasonable return shipping costs.
